BR-IC-12 — E-Invoice Validation Rule & Fix

Fixture ID: noSellerTaxId_K · XPath: /ubl:Invoice/cac:Delivery/cac:DeliveryLocation/cac:Address/cac:Country/cbc:IdentificationCode

1. Why This Rule Triggers (Diagnostic Message)

An invoice with an intra-community supply (category K) must state the deliver-to country code (BT-80). The zero rate depends on the goods physically leaving your member state, so the destination has to be on the document.

2. How to Fix BR-IC-12

Set deliverTo.countryCode to the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code of the destination member state — it must differ from the seller country. Under XRechnung you must also supply deliverTo.city and deliverTo.postalCode (BR-DE-10, BR-DE-11).

3. Valid Code / Payload Example

"deliverTo": { "city": "Lyon", "postalCode": "69001", "countryCode": "FR" }
