PEPPOL-EN16931-R046 — E-Invoice Validation Rule & Fix

Fixture ID: peppolPriceGroup · XPath: /ubl:Invoice/cac:InvoiceLine[1]/cac:Price/cbc:PriceAmount

1. Why This Rule Triggers (Diagnostic Message)

Line 1 states an item gross price (BT-148) of 100 and an item price discount (BT-147) of 10, so the item net price (BT-146) must be 90 — but it is 91. Peppol requires the identity BT-146 = BT-148 − BT-147 exactly, with no tolerance at all, because these three terms are a single statement written three ways: the list price, what you took off it, and what you actually charged. Two of them disagreeing does not make the third ambiguous, it makes the line untrue. Note that BT-146 is the price the line total is computed from; BT-148 is disclosure. This is a Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 profile rule: it applies because profile is "peppol-bis-3". It does not apply to the en16931, xrechnung-ubl or xrechnung-cii profiles, whose validators will accept the same document.

2. How to Fix PEPPOL-EN16931-R046

Set lines[0].unitPrice to 90, or adjust grossUnitPrice / priceDiscount so the three agree. If there is no discount to disclose, drop grossUnitPrice and priceDiscount and state unitPrice alone — the group is optional.

3. Valid Code / Payload Example

"unitPrice": 90, "grossUnitPrice": 100, "priceDiscount": 10
